The Waterfront Playhouse has been entertaining Key West audiences for over 70 years. And was once again named The Best Professional Theatre in Florida (by Florida Monthly Magazine). Located in the heart of Key Wests historic Mallory Square, this not-for-profit, professional theater attracts locals and tourists with a wide range of theatrical fare. Considered to be one of the crown jewels in the islands rich cultural scene, the Playhouse is an intimate 150-seat theater located steps from Key Wests nightly sunset celebration.
Recent hit productions at the Playhouse include Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Glengarry Glen Ross, Doubt, Twelve Angry Men, The Full Monty, Reefer Madness, Regrets Only, The Musical of Musicals, Urinetown, BitchSlap!, Gore Vidals The Best Man, Equus and the world premiere of Carl Hiaasens Lucky You.
