Description:
Winner of the 2009 Tony Award for Best Play, the Broadway smash hit God of Carnage, by Yasmina Reza, is a comedy of manners without the manners. Two couples meet to discuss an altercation on the playground between their eleven year-old sons. Civilized manners soon give way to a rumble in the living room as all hell breaks loose in this very funny play about the primitive tendencies that lurk just below the surface in us all. The stellar cast of Bob Bowersox, Mimi McDonald, Annie Miners and George Murphy will make this an evening of theatre you won’t soon forget. ”Never underestimate the pleasure of watching really good actors behaving terribly… It incites the kind of laughter that comes from the gut.[God of Carnage is] a satisfying primitive entertainment with an intellectual veneer.” – Ben Brantley, The New York Times. God of Carnage also won the Olivier Award in London for Best New Comedy and is directed by Joy Hawkins. God of Carnage runs February 7 – March 10 at the Red Barn Theatre, 319 Duval Street in Old Town, Key West. Performances are at 8pm Tuesdays-Saturdays with a special 2pm matinee on Saturday, March 10th. Tickets can be purchased at www.redbarntheatre.com or at the box office by calling 305-296-9911 or stopping by between 1 and 6pm Monday through Saturday.
